Beautiful Skin Secrets

Everyone knows that in order to have beautiful and healthy skin, you need to take care of of it by cleansing, moisturizing and protecting. However, to really have beautiful skin, day after day, you have to go a step further than that.


Cleaning: You want to clean your skin with a gentle, oil-free cleanser that has been dermatologically tested not to clog pores. If you are prone to breakouts, try using a salicylic acid cleanser, it will clear your face over time. Do not forget to remove your makeup from the eyes with an oil-free makeup before you wash your face, cleaning alone can not breakdown mascara and you end up with a dark mess under your eyes in the morning . Wet your face and lather cleanser in your hands before applying to the face.

Toning: It gets rid of dirt and makeup that cleaning leaves behind, it also helps bring your skin back to its natural pH balance. Apply the toner with a cotton ball or pour the toner on your hands and massage over the face. Try toning with a low alcohol base, because alcohol tends to be very dry on the skin. If you have extra dry skin use a soothing toner with moisture based ingredients.

Hydrating: Try to always moisturizer after cleansing, even if you have oily complexion. If your face is oily, try using a oil-free moisturizer that will give your skin a matt-finish and help your makeup go on smoothly. If you have normal skin or combination, try to use an light moisturizer that will not clog pores. If you have very dry skin, use a heavier moisturizer in the morning and at night. Use a moisturizing cream that contains SPF 30 or more in the morning to prevent pre-mature aging and protect if from the sun.

Exfoliating: Exfoliate at least once a week to remove dead skin cells. If your skin is sensitive, do not exfoliate every night it could irritate your skin and cause breakouts. If you are prone to breakouts, use a mask twice a week to remove impurities. Take good care of your skin and you will have the beautiful skin you deserve!
