Skin Care - Body Care FAQ's
Q: Why does it always sting
when I apply lotion to my legs after shaving? What can I do to stop it?
A: The stinging
you feel is due to minor irritation caused by shaving. You have removed several
of the top protective cell layers from your skin with the razor. Heres
two suggestions for you that can help: 1. Consider having your legs waxed at
a salon rather than shaving. Waxing lasts a lot longer than shaving (up to a
month or more). 2.Try using a gentle product for shaving your legs. (Bioelements
Moisture Positive Cleanser works great it wont strip the natural
oils on your skin). Then, after shaving, apply Bioelements
Extremely Emollient Body Creme to your legs. Its got natural citrus
aromatherapy oils to smooth and nourish your skin. And always be sure to use
a fresh blade when you shave. Older, dull razors can cause even more irritation.
Q: My skin always seems to be dry. Help!
A: Often, weather
conditions or activities can affect your skin. But you can combat dry skin by
following these simple steps: 1. Drink plenty of water. This is a good idea
for your skins health no matter what the weather is like, but it can especially
help in the colder months. 2. Gently exfoliate your skin twice a week [try using
Bioelements Cactus Cloth].
3. Moisturize every day! Its best to apply lotion on still-damp skin because
it helps to retain moisture [try Bioelements
Extremely Emollient after you shower].
Q: How can I get rid
of the brown spots on my hands?
A: Called solar
lentigines, those unsightly brown spots that appear on the hands, arms, chest
and face are the cumulative result of sun exposure. And even if you never intentially
tanned your skin, intermittant day-in day-out exposure is enough to cause the
problem. The solution is Bioelements
Pigment Discourager with 2% hydroquinone. Ask your esthetician for specific
instructions on how to use Pigment Discourager, and follow her directions if
you want to see results.
Q: What's the best way
to get a natural, even looking self-tan?
A: Try blending your
self tanner with a body moisturizer. Blend a 50/50 mix of Bioelements
Serious Self-Tanner and Bioelements
Extremely Emollient Body Creme. The result? A healthy-looking natural glow
you'll love. And this method also makes touch-ups easier and less noticeable!
Q: How do aromatherapy
oils work?
A: The essential
oils found in Bioelements Aromatherapy Oils are fragrant and concentrated substances
that are extracted from plants. These complex mixtures contain a wide variety
of organic compounds, and these natural substances work in harmony with the
systems of the body. Bioelements makes two Aromatherapy Oils for the bath: Yin,
to relax the body and mind while softening the skin; and Yang,
to revitalize the body and mind while also softening the skin.
Q: Now that I've got
a great self-tan, how can I show it off?
A: Give your self-tan
a shimmery, luminous glow with Bioelements
Gold Mine. It contains emollient-rich jojoba, avocado and almond oils and
natural minerals - so it helps keep skin smooth as it shimmers!
