Dermatix is developed by Valeant Pharmaceuticals known for developing prescription and nonprescription products in the dermatology therapeutic areas. It is effective in minimizing or reducing signs and symptoms of abnormal scarring and aid in the development of hypertrophic scarring after surgery by softening, smoothing, and flattening the problem area.

Deramatix Ultra - Advanced Scar Treatment
Dermatix Ultra is a topical silicone gel that is transparent, dries
quickly and helps maintain the skin's moisture balance, while aiding the management
of scarred skin surfaces.
Dermatix Ultra has been shown to flatten, smooth and reduce the discoloration
and itching of new and older keloids and scars resulting from surgical procedures,
burns, and other injuries. This light, non-greasy formula is easily applied
to all areas of the skin, including the face, joints and flexures, and dries
rapidly to form an invisible "sheet" that leaves the skin feeling
clean and silky. Dermatix Ultra may he used under makeup.
Dermatix Ultra was developed using the same basic long chain polymers as topical
silicone gel sheeting, but is available in a tube. It contains cyclic
and polymeric siloxanes and Vitamin C ester.
Directions: Remove foil seal under cap prior to first use. Wash the affected
area and pat dry. Gently massage a small amount of Dermatix Ultra into the affected
area twice daily, or as directed by your physician. Use only on clean, dry skin.
Dermatix Ultra can also be used on children.
When should Dermatix Ultra not be used?
•Dermatix Ultra should not be applied to open or fresh wounds.
•Dermatix Ultra should not be placed in contact with mucous membranes, or applied
too close to the eyes.
•Dermatix Ultra should not be applied over antibiotic skin preparations or other
skin treatments and/or products without the advice of your physician.
Are there any possible unwanted effects of Dermatix Ultra?
Rarely the gel may cause redness, pain or irritation to the skin. If you are concerned about these or any other unwanted effects, consult your physician.
How should Dermatix Ultra be stored?
• keep Out of the reach of children.
• Store below 25u C (770 F) and away from heat sources.
