What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the skin. It helps to bind water to the epidermis and traps in moisture for skin that appears hydrated and plump. A single gram of hyaluronic acid can hold up to six liters of water. It also has the ability to regulate moisture within the cells.

Antioxidant - Studies have shown that hyaluronic acid has antioxidant benefits. It can fight against free radicals caused by oxidative damage. Free radicals attack healthy cells, which speeds up skin aging.
Anti-inflammatory - Hyaluronic acid improves the regulation of inflammation levels to help wounds heal faster. It has been shown that the size of the wound is reduced and pain is decreased more quickly.

Hyaluronic acid in generally safe since it’s a natural occurring substance in your body. For some, there may be side effects causing redness, swelling, or severe allergic reaction.
