After trying brand after brand and even the other products from PBF Vanish, this is the only ingrown hair prevention solution that’s works for me. Even after the formulation change the results did not suffer, but only improved.

I don't really write reviews but I've become a pretty die-hard proponent of PFB and have given it to friends and coworkers. Every time I shave my legs, I get pretty bad bumps a few days later, especially on my upper and inner thighs. Nothing works as good as this. I've tried the full range of products from tendskin to fur oil and everything in between. I think part of the problem is that a lot of product manufacturers assume that the issue comes from "irritation," or that it's something that needs to be soothed from the shaving itself. Other products use tea tree or anti-bacterial ingredients to prevent infection and inflammation, but this isn't going to stop the bumps from occurring, it only stops them from getting worse after they've arrived.

PFB is the only product I've used that actually addresses the root cause of the issue, which is that hair is getting trapped under the skin. "PFB" is a reference to the actual skin condition called PFB. I'm also of Hispanic ethnicity and this issue is known to be more common for nonwhite folks.

As far as the seemingly high cost - this large bottle contains 4 times the amount as the 4 oz roll-on and is only 2x the price (currently $90). This is my first time buying the large bottle and it's not only easier to dispense but I've applied it a LOT and it's still 3/4 full. The Regular PFB formula in 16oz is $32 less, currently $58 - but I have liked the Ultra because it helps to get rid of the dark spots that develop from irritated hair follicles that get inflamed and leave a mark. So I think that with a well-disciplined care routine, you could start with the Ultra for heavy-duty repair and then switch to the regular formula for maintenance.

It was my first time ordering from here and when I received the product safety seal was open and the top was taped. I am very disappointed because the product is 90$+ and I feel like I can’t trust this website.
